A. What is the Tourism and Leisure Facility Investment Immigration System?

This is a system that grants Resident (F-2) status for free economic activities to foreign investors who have invested more than the standard amount in the real estate (tourism/leisure facilities)

 within the investment areas designated and announced by the Minister of Justice, and further grants Permanent Resident (F-5) status according to certain standards if the investment is maintained for 5 years.

B. Investment Procedures

1. STEP.01 Preliminary Evaluation

              Preliminary Evaluation enhances the investment process by assessing a foreign investor’s eligibility for the status of stay in Korea in advance.

2. STEP.02 Remitting the Investment

              Required to prove that the investment is from foreign capital

3. STEP.03 Investment Confirmation and Change of Status to F-2

              Required to change the status to F-2 after the investment is concluded

4. STEP.04 Conditions for maintaining the investment

                  Investment is NOT maintained in case of Collateral, Seizure, or Taking out a loan
